The character of Leon is discussed in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power
In an interview with Collider, Leon Wadham explained the relationship between his character Kemen and his father Pharazôn in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. He declared:
Pharazôn is a beautiful individual. You may say that prominent individuals’ descendants fell into two groups. They may strive to equal or surpass their parents’ accomplishments, or they may rely on a sense of entitlement.
And I believe he belongs to this category when we meet… ” He is living in a golden age and has everything he has ever desired. There is no sincere desire for that to disappear.”
Leon Wadham continued by saying:
“I believe his father’s anger with him originates from the fact that he doesn’t bring any new ideas to the table, as the prevalent ideas have served him well personally.” And his journey will challenge him to consider what he stands for, what he believes is worth fighting for, and what that struggle can entail.”
