Camille Fournier wants to become the first Frenchwoman to walk on Mars. Years of training, which Camille has already begun, will be necessary to accomplish such an extraordinary feat. She is a student at the European Apprentice Astronaut Center where she pursues training in aircraft and speleology and already has a scuba diving diploma.
And to top it all off, Camille is a French University of Savoy student studying astrophysics. Only 19 years old, she seldom has time for activities that aren’t related to space. Her level of ambition and her desire to promote scientific research for the sake of humanity is evident in this.

In France’s Bourgoin-Jallieu, Camille was born. Camille decided to study astrology at the age of 10, much to the amazement of her family and friends. When they witnessed her dedication, Camille’s family decided to support her choice. Before enrolling in space boot camp to begin her astronaut training, she first studied astronomy theoretically.
Despite the extensive training and studying Fournier has done, she still has a long way to go before becoming an astronaut.
She disclosed in an Instagram stories Q&A that she still needs to complete seven more years of school and will be a certified astronaut for around 15 years. She hopes to finish her Master’s degree and earn various certifications in five years.
Fournier’s timetable was disrupted by the coronavirus outbreak, but she is confident that she will accomplish a lot before the year is over. She declared that she had begun her second year of college in early September:
“Good luck with the next academic year! I’ve had an amazing summer, and now I’m returning to school to finish my first year of a physics bachelor’s degree.
The Mars expedition, in Camille’s words, is an enormous undertaking.
It looks like Camille will have a life filled with notable accomplishments. She is pursuing academic brilliance at the age of 19, speaks four languages, and is undertaking rigorous astronaut training. Being in the greatest possible position to guide humanity’s mission to Mars is Camille’s objective.

In her Instagram Q&A, she stated that she believes the Mars expedition to be more important than life itself. Once she steps foot on Mars, Camille said she is open to never leaving the planet again: “It’s a possibility, but I’m not scared. This is considerably bigger than my life, as I’ve previously stated.
The same curiosity that motivated this goal ten years ago still motivates it today. Camille’s drive to push the envelope is fueled by her curiosity about what is out there.
She wrote, “Black holes and black matter, this is cool.” According to Camille, she wishes to be known as the pioneering scientist who discovered the equation that adequately describes astrophysics on its own.
