Nikita Dragun became well-known for sharing beauty tutorials on Instagram. As of early July 2021, she had amassed more than 3.6 million subscribers since joining YouTube in February 2013. In terms of followers, Dragun’s TikTok account has proven to be her most popular social media page as of late 2020.

Nikita was born on January 31st, 1996, in Belgium to a Mexican mother and a Vietnamese father. Early on, Dragun’s parents noticed that she had a tendency toward feminine activities, and they encouraged their daughter. To support Nikita as she demonstrated her talents on the cheerleading team, they attended school games.
Nikita’s parents were in favor of her metamorphosis, but her father was concerned for her safety throughout the treatments. Her mother was concerned that Nikita’s transition might be impacted by societal norms. Thankfully, Nikita successfully through the transition. Mom of Dragun said:

Nikita realized she was transsexual when she was just 5 years old. She adored wearing dresses, and her teachers at school noticed this and told Nikita’s parents. However, Nikita explained to Forbes, “One day a teacher came over and asked why I was dressed up like this, and then she phoned my parents.
The phone call didn’t surprise Nikita’s parents because they had observed that Dragun liked to play with dolls, insisted on wearing side-cut shorts, and tended to line up with girls during physical education class. However, the call had the expected outcome since Nikita began to repress her femininity.

She remarked, “I knew I was different and there were some things I couldn’t reveal or I’d get taunted or tormented.” Nikita nevertheless kept her yearning to be her true self inside. She read articles about being transgender and watched documentaries to educate herself.
After seeing a more welcoming environment in high school, Nikita stopped hiding.
She told Forbes, “People just accepted me. But I didn’t truly begin to explore my trans identity until I was in college. Nikita turned down a scholarship at NYU, much to the dismay of her parents.
She took a year off from school before resuming it to earn a business and marketing degree at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. Nikita changed her identity to Nicole while in college and obtained a phony ID. She was taken aback by how quickly people on social media and in nightclubs recognized her as a woman.
From the CW show of the same name, Dragun took the moniker Nikita. Dragun admired Nikita, an Asian actress who played the lead role in the movie because “she was so fierce and kind of looked like how I imagined myself to look.” She was called Dragun by bullies who tormented her as a child. Glossy heard Dragun say:
“I was frequently the only mixed-race child in my Virginia elementary school class when I was growing up. Because I’m Asian, they would occasionally taunt me and say things like, “Oh, you look like a dragon.” When you were a kid, it used to be the worst thing you could ever be called, but it eventually became my thing.
