Four persons were killed in a mass shooting that took place inside the Old National Bank in Louisville on Monday: James Tutt, Juliana Farmer, Thomas Elliott (63), and Joshua Barrick.
Policeman Nickolas Wilt (26), who was shot in the head and is presently in serious condition, was also hurt in the incident.

Thomas “Tommy” Elliott, a senior vice president at the bank who had led the inauguration committee for Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear in 2019 was one of the victims of the shooting at Old National Bank in Louisville.
At a press conference on Monday, Governor Beshear praised Elliott, stating that he had assisted in his election as governor and had been a wonderful friend who had provided advice on being a good father.
When asked to resign from the Kentucky Retirement Systems board by then-governor Matt Bevin in 2016, Elliott refused. This led to further controversy.

Craig Greenberg, the mayor of Louisville, offered his condolences for the passing of Thomas Elliot, a personal friend of both him and Governor Andy Beshear, at a news conference on Monday.
The Mayor alluded to Elliot as a friend, emphasizing the effect his passing had on the neighborhood. He was not only close with him but also with his family.

Thomas Elliot was married to Maryanne (Honeycutt) Elliott, the late Dr. Roy Lee Honeycutt’s and his late wife June’s daughter and the eighth president of the seminary.
The pair had a strong relationship, and once the news of the husband’s passing spread, people were interested in learning more about the wife, who had maintained a low profile.
Katherine and Emily Dotson were the daughters of Thomas and Maryanne. Albert Mohler, president of SBTS, sent his sympathies for Elliott’s passing. He referred to Thomas Elliot as a leader in Kentucky’s economic and political communities.
Additionally, Mohler invited people to join the seminary community in prayer for all those impacted by the massacre and the families who have experienced a great deal of loss and pain.

Update on the Louisville Shooting Case
According to reports, the reason for the shooting in Louisville, Kentucky, is not yet clear. But as of this morning, specific information on the shooter, Connor Sturgeon, has been made public.
The gunman, 25-year-old bank employee Connor Sturgeon, was subsequently discovered dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside the bank.
Since the incident, information on Sturgeon’s history, including his schooling and family, has been made available to the public.
