Thomas Mosley was taken into custody.
The father accused of killing a 20-year-old woman and the boy they shared when he was two years old made his first court appearance on Saturday in Pinellas County.
The toddler’s corpse was found in an alligator’s mouth at a lake 15 minutes away from Taylen Mosley’s home.
Thomas Mosley, 21, was arrested when it was revealed that Pashun had been viciously stabbed to death and was charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
Mosley is being treated for injuries while still in police custody at St. Anthony’s hospital, where Pinellas Circuit Judge Patrice Moore had a hard time speaking with him over the phone.

Moore claimed to be taking medication, but he didn’t make a formal appeal.
More information about what transpired on March 29th, when Mosley and her son were last seen alive, came to light when Judge Moore read the complaint to Mosley aloud.
The complaint claims that around 8:42 p.m., Pashun’s phone reportedly left her home and traveled to Lake Maggiore, where Taylen’s body was later discovered on Friday.
Mosley then arrived at his mother’s home just after nine o’clock with injuries on his arms. He then registered at St. Anthony’s.

The family characterized Pashun as a single mother who was “aware that being a single mom would be difficult, but she was determined to provide for her son” on a GoFundMe page that has raised more than $8,000 in contributions.
Mosley discovered Taylen, who was not in his custody at the time, and the police identified him as a “person of interest.
Thomas had admitted himself to the hospital despite having several cuts on his hands and arms. The police were able to confirm Thomas’ unwillingness to cooperate with the law and investigations.
Around 8.30 that night, a loud commotion was reported next to the apartment; nevertheless, police were not summoned.
Shortly after the event at the apartment, Thomas, who was severely bleeding, arrived to his mother’s place.
When Pashun’s mother missed their normal FaceTime talk the next morning, she phoned the apartment building management to see how she was doing.
A team member arrived and discovered Pashun had passed away. Holloway characterized the murder scene as “very violent.” When the team member arrived, the flat door was closed.
According to WGXA, Taylen, and Pashun, a CVS team member, he had just moved into the apartment. Taylen had only recently turned two, which was 19 days before his body was discovered.
