Wendy Williams celebrated her father’s 91st birthday by uploading a couple of images of herself and Thomas Williams, Sr. on Instagram. In one scene, the actress was holding her father’s hand, and in another, they sat adjacently yet separately. In the second shot, Thomas can be seen grinning and listening to his daughter, who appears to be in a good mood. Consequently to the caption,
“Happy 91st birthday, Daddy!” “This is the most tranquil period of my life.”
On February 17, she posted a five-minute video to honor her return to social media following a temporary absence due to health issues. Her new Instagram account, @therealwendywilliamsonline, which started this week, featured the photographs.
The clip was caught by her son Kevin Hunter Jr. while she was strolling on a Florida beach and discussing her mother, Shirley Williams, who will pass away in December 2020.
In the video, Wendy made a contemporary reference to her mother and lied about her age. Page Six was informed by a publicist masquerading as her representative that the video was filmed on February 16 and that she misspoke.
Kevin stated in the video that his mother is taking a break from everything, and she verified that she is only leaving New York. Wendy said,
“I appreciate New York’s hectic pace. I enjoy living in Florida just as much as I enjoy living in New York, despite the fact that the two cities are home to distinct things and people. But New York is my heart, and Florida is a nice, regular setting. Occasionally weird in a pleasant manner. “Are we not all peculiar in an endearing way?”
Additionally, Kevin enquired about the charges concerning Wendy’s health issues. She stated that numerous individuals were requesting the same information and that she was becoming pushier.
The Parents of Wendy Williams
Thomas Williams Sr. is the father of Wendy Williams. Although he recently turned 91, little is known about his early life and career. In 1957, Thomas wed Shirley Williams, and the pair settled in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Thomas was an English instructor and school administrator, while his wife was a special education instructor. Together, they held three master’s degrees and have traveled widely over the world. In 1970, they relocated to Ocean Township, New Jersey’s Wayside, a neighborhood of the upper middle class.
After her mother passed away, Wendy Williams reflected on her ideal upbringing with her parents. She told App.com that her parents instilled in her the belief that everyone can be a parent and make a difference in their community.
Shirley was a member of numerous organizations, including the Monmouth County Council of Girl Scouts, the Central Jersey Club of the National Association of Negro Business, and others.
During a December 2020 appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, the 57-year-old revealed her mother’s passing and remarked,
My mum passed away weeks, weeks, weeks, and weeks ago. You are aware of how simple it is to lose track of the date and time, right? I only knew that it occurred a very long time ago. She will always be with my mother, father, brothers, and me – the five of us.
The World War Z performer stated that her mother passed away peacefully and painlessly, surrounded by her affection. She thanked her for being a part of her life for the past 56 years.
