His wife had to be extra careful, taking all necessary precautions after returning from her work at a neighboring hospital. Peterson encouraged his wife’s work and established the necessary arrangements for her to sterilize effectively.
She would make her way to the guesthouse and take a shower after returning from work by way of the garage and backyard. She also received a small locker space where she could keep her medical supplies. Peterson claims that his wife instilled in their daughter Paityn the seriousness of the situation. She also made sure her diabetic husband took all the required precautions to avoid contracting the infection.

Peterson continued by pointing out how doctors were fighting the disease on the front lines in every country on the planet. Peterson urged readers to do their part to protect “our physicians” and others who work in hospitals and other medical facilities near the end of his book.
He made similar remarks in an interview with ESPN in June 2020. He described the effects that breaking the rules and maintaining poor hygiene would have on everyone in the home. According to him, sanitation and caution were needed to combat the infection.
Peterson also mentioned how his relatives made sure that everyone in his family’s home was safe. He asserts that the Peterson family followed social distance rules, regularly cleaned the surfaces, and washed their hands as often as was practical.
Similarly, his wife took extra care by keeping her patients sedated in the family’s guesthouse until the COVID-19 test resulted in a negative result. Peterson expressed hope at the end of the discussion that the health issue will soon “roll over,” allowing everyone to go back to their regular lives.
