The 20-month-old kid of Tiffany Nicole Stokes has been charged with fentanyl-related death. Authorities confirmed the toddler’s death over the summer after he ingested a fatal dose of Fentanyl on 9 December 2022.
The mother reported her son’s unconsciousness to the Prince William Country Department at around three in the morning on June 20, 2022, from a residence on Soapstone Drive in Gainesville. Tiffany allegedly said that she discovered her infant comatose in bed.
The 20-month-old child was brought to the hospital, where he passed away. When the child died, there was no indication that there had been foul play or strange circumstances.
However, the case didn’t turn to a new page until the results of the autopsy. The outcome eventually revealed that the child was killed by a lethal quantity of fentanyl.
Tiffany Nicole Stokes Is Suspected of Possessing Illegal Drugs
The results of the autopsy led the police to expand their investigation. When they questioned the mother of the infant, they discovered Oxycodone and Acetaminophen pills that she hadn’t been prescribed.
Authorities believe that the toddler ingested the fentanyl somewhere between June 22’s evening and June 23’s early morning.
Investigators also learned that Stokes had access to and was using what they believe to be Percocet-like unprescribed medications at the time the youngster died.
At the start of December, police officers tried to arrest Stokes despite having a warrant for her arrest. Tuesday marked Stokes’ surrender.
