The most recent episode of Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 reveals the conflict alluded to in the previous episode. Tom Pearson was terminated from the Bravo program in addition to being removed from the ship.
Pearson was a deckhand, the junior member of the yacht’s crew. He was discharged by Captain Glenn Shephard due to his incompetence, which jeopardized the lives of everyone on board. In episode 6 of the previous week, Pearson was on anchor watch when the wind began to tug the boat.
Pearson was required to maintain vigilance, but he quickly realized the force of the wind. Although he was aware of the danger, he chose not to alert Captain Shephard or Gary King. When the crew noticed that the anchor was dragging, they went into action to prevent mishaps.

Shephard was furious with Pearson, but he maintained his composure and removed him from all key responsibilities. According to the captain in the April 4 episode 7 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Pearson remained calm and did not regret his actions.
His deckhand was then politely asked to leave. Officer Shephard:
“I don’t understand how you could miss anchor watch. It defies reason. Anchor watch exists primarily for this purpose.”
He went on:
“I’m stuck.”
Pearson constantly interrupted him. Shephard stated that Pearson’s focus was not on his employment and that he “may still wreak harm.” A member of the Below Deck Sailing Yacht cast apologized to Shephard and bid him farewell.
Tom Pearson of the Below Deck Sailing Yacht expressed regret
On Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Tom Pearson gained widespread acclaim. Through his association with Ashley Marti, he irritated the audience. After episode 7, Pearson apologized on Instagram and described the issue in detail. Text:
“Let me begin by stating that I assume full responsibility for what occurred. That night, I am solely to blame. My initial response was denial, as I did not want to accept the possibility of generating a truly dreadful scenario.”
The message stated:
“Sincere apologies to the crew and guests on board. I know I said it at the time, but you deserved more from me that evening. On Pearson’s Instagram post, Colin MacRae, Daisy Kelliher, Gabriela Barragan, and Ashley Marti all left comments.”
