At the young age of 23, Middle Island, New York resident Tomeik Young passed away. On Thursday, July 6, 2023, he unfortunately passed away in a terrible accident involving a dirt bike and a car. Tomeik was seriously injured in a collision in Medford involving a dirt bike and a car, according to the authorities.
A woman was traveling north on Route 112 in a 2014 Ford Mustang at the time of the incident. She decided to turn left at one point and head into a nearby parking lot. We are everyone in sorrow for Tomeik Young, a bright and talented young man, even if the official obituary has not yet been made public.

Accident Led To Death Of Dirt Bike Driver
There was a horrible accident early in the morning. The dirt bike rider lost his life in the collision. An automobile was rear-ended by two dirt bikers as they were turning. The terrible collision between two southbound dirt bikes occurred at roughly 12:10 a.m. Tomeik Young, one of the cyclists, was severely injured and required immediate hospitalization. The medical staff at the hospital did everything they could to keep him alive.
Fortunately, Deandre Henderson, a 17-year-old who was riding the same bike, was not as severely injured. He also visited the hospital, but there was no danger to his life from his wounds. A 20-year-old rider by the name of Kashaun Parrish was also present.
On a different bike, he also sustained some minor injuries. He sought medical attention at Stony Brook University Hospital. Following the collision, all of the involved vehicles were seized by the police and held for safety inspections.
Early on Monday, May 29, between Exits 58 and 59 in Islandia, there was a collision. The driver of a 2010 Ford Edge lost control of the car, hit the center median, spun, and eventually collided with the right guardrail, according to Suffolk County Police.
Tragically, the driver, 26-year-old Medford resident Erika Figueroa, perished in the collision. Thankfully, her significant other, who was seated in the front seat, lived despite suffering severe injuries. The accident is being looked into by the police, and they are asking anyone with information to contact 631-854-8452.
