Tommy Devito Ethnicity and Nationality: The Giants QB’s Roots

Tommy Devito, the Giants quarterback, is from a mixed-ethnic family. His mother is half German, and half Costa Rican, and his father is Italian. Tommy grew raised in Cedar Grove, New Jersey, alongside his brother Max Devito. His house is only nine miles from the Giants’ practice facility, making it convenient for him to travel.

He attended Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, New Jersey, and later went on to play college basketball at Syracuse and Illinois. The American footballer has previously spoken briefly about his beginnings. Devito told 247Sports that his tan originates from his maternal grandmother, a Costa Rican native.

In previous interviews, the quarterback spoke about his close relationship with his late grandmother, Maria Scheuerer. Tommy is Maria Scheuerer’s eldest of six grandkids, and she spent the epidemic with him and his parents. They would spend hours solving difficulties.

Maria had been bedridden for a long time before her death, and Tommy would always help him get out of bed, hoist her up, move her to a wheelchair, and transport her about the house. Maria passed away just two days before Tommy made his Illinois debut against Wyoming. His family had opted not to inform Tommy. He respected his family’s decision, but losing his grandmother impacted him equally.
