Toni Collette Galafassi (born Toni Collett on November 1, 1972) is an actress, producer, singer, and composer from Australia. She is best recognized for her work in television and indie films, and she has received multiple distinctions during her career, including a Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award, in addition to being nominated for an Academy Award, a Tony Award, and two British Academy Film Awards. Beautiful Awkward Pictures, Toni Collette & the Finish’s sole album, was composed solely by her as lead singer (2006). After 2007, the band toured Australia but did not play or release new music. In 2017, Collette and Jen Turner co-founded Vocab Films.

Collette’s television career began in 1988 with a role in the sitcom “Blah Blah Blah,” and she has since been in shows such as “A Country Practice” and in several stage productions. In 1992, she made her film debut in the comedy “Spotswood.” The cast also included Anthony Hopkins and Russell Crowe.
