Fans were worried when Tony Blackburn didn’t show up on his BBC Radio 2 broadcast today. On Saturdays from 6 to 8 am, the 80-year-old normally broadcasts Sounds of the 60s.
However, Tony, an ex-campmate from I’m a Celebrity, said on March 10th that he will be skipping the event due to sickness.
He tweeted that a sickness that was taking a long time to heal would prevent him from hosting any of his events this weekend.
The presenter continued, “My special “Happy Birthday program” will air tomorrow on Sounds Of The Sixties, and a taped Golden Hour will air on Sunday, March 12th. Have a great weekend.
