The 94th Academy Awards stage incident that occurred last weekend has finally been addressed by Chris Rock. He is hardly the only person to have brought it up. He was asked by fans about what transpired at the Oscars, and his brother Tony also provided an answer.
Fans are curious in Tony because of his response to Will Smith slapping his brother, which peaked their interest. Here is what we currently know.
Tony Rock: Who Is He?
Tony is an actor and stand-up comedian, just like his brother Chris. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, and has seven siblings, including Chris. He has made appearances on a number of well-known programs, including The Howard Stern Show and The D’Angelo Show.
He portrayed Uncle Ryan on the comedy star’s reality series Everybody Hates Chris. Additionally, Tony has hosted the talent competition program Apollo Live on the BET Network. He presently serves as a judge for the upcoming March 2021 premiere of the Netflix baking reality series Is It Cake?
What was said by Tony Rock?
Tony responded to numerous questions about the Oscars during a Twitter Q&A with his followers.
One of them asked, “Do you like (Will Smith’s) apology?” Tony simply replied, “No.”
Another fan said, “So Diddy was lying when he said Chris and Will made up that night and are good now?”
He also offered his opinion on the controversy surrounding Will’s Oscar victory and if it ought to be overturned.
Should the Oscar be revoked? was one Twitter user’s question. Should Chris receive it given his composed demeanor? In answer, Tony remarked, “Not my call.”
Breaks The Silence With Comedy
During his stand-up performance in Boston on Wednesday, Chris made his first mention of the Oscars event. He began his performance by addressing the crowd and asking, “How was your weekend?”
I don’t have a bunch of s**t about what occurred, so if you come to hear that, I have a full show I wrote before this weekend, he finally said in reaction to the smack.
I’m still figuring out what happened. I’ll thus tell you about it later. Additionally, it will be both humorous and serious.
The comedian retaliated by saying, “I’m going to tell some jokes,” in response to an audience member’s disparaging comment about Will. It’s pleasant being outside.
