African Football Players

Mohamad Salah is the leading goal scorer in the English Premier League once again this weekend, thanks to a win over Liverpool. This was the result of a penalty shot versus Aston Villa at Anfield, a crucial play for soccer Betway.

The player, a two-time African Footballer of the Year award winner, has scored 14 league goals this season, one more than Leicester City veteran Jamie Vardy.

Furthermore, Salah is just one of three African players in the top sharpshooter’s category for soccer Betway, with Emmanuel Davis of Nigeria and Sadio Mane of Senegal sharing this honor.

1. SALAH

He scored his 21st goal of the season in all competitions to help Liverpool defeat Villa in a 1-0 victory. He scored on a penalty shot after Tyrone Mings was called for a foul. His lone penalty, the 15th successful one in a row, has moved Liverpool one point behind Manchester City.

2. DAKA

The Zambian striker helped Leicester to a 4-0 victory over Newcastle, with his goal, his seventh of the season, coming at the King Power Stadium. Daka scored Leicester’s second goal with a flawless finish off a ball from Harvey Barnes.

3. DENNIS

This winger scored his seventh goal in 15 Premier League games, but he was unable to avert the 2-1 loss at Brentford. He extended his unbeaten record since joining Club Brugge by heading the lowly Watford a little shy of 24 minutes into the game.

4. MANDI

Algeria’s all-star defender helped Villareal to a 2-0 win over Rayo Vallecano and La Liga. He gave the ball away at the back post in the first half, before Gerard Moreno doubled it.

5. ANGUISSA

After seeing a funny and calamitous outing, Napoli fans were looking forward to midfielder Anguissa’s comeback from injury. Anguissa was able to clear Patrik Cutrone’s flick from the back corner onto his head, but the ball ricocheted into his own net. Cutrone’s goal helped Napoli finish the weekend in fourth place, having trailed the league previous to last weekend’s fixtures.

6. BENSEBAINI

The Algerian left-back scored for the first time this season in the 88th minute against RB Leipzig, turning the tide to 2-1.

7. TAPSOBA

Burkina Faso’s defender was to blame for the first of up to six goals conceded in a loss to Frankfurt. Leverkusen was leading 2-0 when Jonathan Tah and Tapsoba collided, letting Frankfurt back into the game. The home team quickly equalized before storming to a 5-2 triumph and tying the game.

8. NANTES

Prior to being dropped for a match against Lens, Nigeria’s winger had started all but one League 1 game. Simon came on as a substitute with his team trailing 2-0 at the 30-minute mark and scored the game-winning goal.
