“Triptych” A Mexican Thriller Drama Is Set To Released On Netflix

Triptych

Triptych, also known as Trada, will be released on Netflix on February 22, 2023. According to sources, the Mexican thriller will have eight episodes, all of which will be available on Netflix on the same day.

Leticia López Margalli, the author of the suspense drama Dark Desire or Oscuro Deseo, will pen the series, which will be directed by Leonardo D’Antoni and Alba Gil. Maite Perroni, David Chocarro, Flavio Medina, and Nuria Bages star in Triptych. The series stars Ofelia Medina, Ana Layevska, Claudia Lobo, Aldo Gallardo, and Daniella Valdez.

To be sure, the mystery series reunites the fantastic duo of Margalli and Perroni after Dark Desire, another Netflix series. Triptych is scheduled to be released on February 22, 2023, at 3:01 a.m. A docuseries, Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal, was also released on the OTT platform that day.

What can we expect from Triptych?

Triada’s plot is as follows:

“Because the truth has several faces, nothing is as it seems, and in order to uncover it, we must first understand its three faces. Triada takes suspense, mystery, and drama to new heights.”

Triptych is based on a true story about a forensic specialist named Rebecca who arrives at a murder scene and notices the victim’s face looks exactly like hers. She soon discovers that she was separated from two of her identical brothers and realizes that her entire life has been a lie up to this point.

To reverse the transformation, she embarks on a perilous journey to discover the truth about her origins. Perroni takes on three roles: a businesswoman, a dancer, and Rebecca. This is emphasized in the trailer for TrADA, which was released by Netflix last month. The brutal short exposes Rebecca’s resemblance to two other women, as well as how her birthdate and DNA match with the deceased entrepreneur piques Rebecca’s interest.

Despite her colleague’s objections, she decides to go on a mission to find out what caused their disagreement. Rebecca’s life is jeopardized as she gets closer to discovering the truth, and she is assaulted. The trailer keeps you interested until the very end thanks to a captivating background soundtrack and Alejandro Chávez and Josué Eber Morales’ excellent camera angles. Only one complaint: there were no English subtitles or dubbing in the promotional video, but Netflix is expected to add subtitles once the series begins.

The Netflix series premiered in January of last year

In a video interview in January, Perroni, a GQ Men of the Year Award winner, revealed her involvement in the yet-to-be-released Netflix episode. She stated, ”

“I’m ecstatic because I can now make an exclusive announcement. Leticia López Margalli, the creator of Oscuro deseo (Dark Desire), and I are working on a new project that excites, scares, and delights me.”

This is the popular actress’s first release of the year, and she will follow Dark Desire with a TV show. Importantly, Dark Desire season 1 quickly became the most-watched non-English program on Netflix, so it remains to be seen whether the Margalli-Perroni team can replicate their success in the next drama. “The characters dig into their own history, one by one, to solve the mysteries of their lives,” according to a press release.
