Truly was born in California on August 8, 2001. In an interview, she confessed that her renowned father gave her the name “Truly,” since the CEO of Aftermaths Entertainment thought it was lovely.
Her paternal grandfather, Theodore Young, was the owner of an amateur R&B band.
