Truly Young

Truly Young is a celebrity child who is most known as the daughter of Dr. Dre, Andre Romelle Young. Her father is a successful entrepreneur, record producer, and rapper.

Truly is hip hop royalty as the daughter of legendary music producer Dr. Dre and his wife, Nicole Young. She is one of Dre’s most well-known family members and also a musician. She frequently stuns on Instagram and appears to be a rising celebrity in her own right.

Truly appears to be on the verge of becoming a breakout star at any given time. So get to know her right away, her life as the celebrity child of superwealthy and renowned parents; discover all about her personal and professional endeavors.

What is the origin of Truly Young’s name?

Truly was born in California on August 8, 2001. In an interview, she confessed that her renowned father gave her the name “Truly,” since the CEO of Aftermaths Entertainment thought it was lovely.

Her paternal grandfather, Theodore Young, was the owner of an amateur R&B band.

She attends a prestigious university.

Young, the star kid of Generation Z, is a student at The University of Southern California. She was accepted to USC’s prestigious School of Cinematic Arts in May 2019.

Her father raised quite a stir when she was admitted to university that year. Truly’s father revealed his daughter’s admission to the University in a photo, stating, “all on her own.” “There will be no jail time!!!”

The Beats Electronics creator was referring to Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman, who were arrested in March 2019 for allegedly paying bribes to get their daughters into college.

However, according to later accounts, Dr. Dre, together with fellow music billionaire Jimmy Iovine, donated $70 million to the institution in 2013.

Later, Dre erased his post about Loughlin.

Young vehemently denied the allegations.

Truly, on the other hand, rejected the allegations, claiming that her famous father had always been ‘pushing me to go to USC.’

In an interview, she disclosed that her parents imposed a condition for her to maintain decent grades or face financial repercussions.

She appears to be receiving no preferential treatment at USC. Andre, according to Truly and her siblings, was a “very, very strict parent.” He was also apparently present in every aspect of her life. Truly, the ex-president of Death Row Records, was homeschooled in high school. During those times, she also received excellent grades.

Relationship between Her Parents

On May 25, 1996, Truly’s parents, Dr. Dre and Nicole, married.

Her mum was the first person the Grammy-winning rapper walked down the aisle with. Dre and Nicole had two daughters, Truly and her brother Truice, together.

Nicole, Truly’s mother, who is not on social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook, was formerly married to NBA player Sedale Threatt.

The Blast revealed in June 2020 that Truly’s mother Nicole filed for divorce from the music entrepreneur after 24 years of marriage.

Soon after, the divorce became tumultuous, with Dre accusing Nicole of stealing company funds and the former wife accusing the rapper of adultery.

Dr. Dre agreed to pay his ex-wife Nicola Young a stunning $100 million in their divorce settlement in December 2021.

She was enraged by 50 Cent’s criticism of her mother.

Truly ripped 50 Cent to shreds on social media in September 2020 after he remarked on her parents’ divorce.

Curtis James Jackson III shared a screenshot of an article discussing Nicole’s $2 million monthly support request in their divorce.

Nicole criticized this 50 by adding, “these bitches be crazy, how do you even ask for 2 million a month?”

Truly from the other end responded to the In da Club singer’s remark about her mother, writing,

“The blatant misogyny and disrespect shown by ignorant men is absolutely fucking disgusting and vile.” It’s unforgivable to call my mother, my father’s wife, a b*tch.”

She also stated that 50 Cent’s remark about her parents’ divorce was part of his marketing strategy, which she labeled as low-life and filthy.

Later, 50 Cent responded with a quick “LOL” and didn’t go any farther.

She has several siblings.

Truly is the youngest of Dre’s nine children, one of whom has died. Truice, her brother, was previously mentioned. He was born in the year 1997.

Truly has four half-siblings, all from her father’s past relationships with other women, in addition to her biological brother.

Her other half-brother, Andre Young, who died in 2008, is also worth mentioning. According to People, Andre died in 2008 after an accidental overdose at the age of 20.

Who Exactly Are Young Siblings?

Curtis, La Tanya, and her two lesser-known sisters, as well as Marcel, are the only living step-siblings. Curtis is Dr. Dre’s first child, born when the Compton rapper was a teenager with then-girlfriend Cassandra Joy Greene.

He had La Tanya with another partner, Lisa Johnson, in 1983. The Mechanic had two more daughters with Johnson, in addition to La Tanya.

Dr. Dre and Jenita Porter had a son, Andre Young, in 1988, and another son, Marcel, with Michelle Toussaint in 1991. Furthermore, she has a half-sister named Tyra Young.

She is also a performer.

Young, like her father, works in the music industry. She excels at combining her delicate falsetto with genuine emotion. Dre’s eighth child had her own hit track, Lover Boy, in 2018.

She named Nirvana, Lana Del Rey, and The Cure as her major influences in an interview with Vogue in 2018. Speaking about her profession, she told the magazine that as an artist, she hopes to inspire young people to defy traditional norms.

She trained herself to play the guitar when she was 13 years old. In 2017, Vogue really revealed,

“My parents offered to teach me, but I really wanted to learn on my own.”

Like her father, she converted one of her songs, LoverBoy, into a short film that she created entirely on her own.

She is also an artist.

Truly, in addition to music, appears to be interested in visual art, notably painting. Her Instagram feed is filled with her artistic creations.

In Los Angeles, she has her own apartment.

How Much Money Does Truly Have?

Given her young age and current musical period, it is still too early to begin analyzing or even discussing Truly’s net worth. And it’s absolutely not fair to compare her financial gains to anyone close to her father, who has a staggering net worth of over $800 million.

Young’s superproducer father is still getting royalties from his landmark Apple agreement, as well as cash from his enormous back catalog. Not to mention that he has owned a large network of glamorous LA mansions for decades, as well as many properties across the states, each worth in the seven figures.

However, none of his children, including Truly, have joined the two-comma club. Nonetheless, she admits that her father’s near-billion-dollar income should not be a source of anxiety for her.

Truly Young Has A Boyfriend

Truly, Nicole and Dre’s youngest child, has shared a few Instagram photos with her boyfriend, Aidan Korte. Some fans have compared him to Eminem.

Truly hasn’t spoken much about her guy aside from the fact that he’s a Texan.

The couple allegedly began dating in the fall of 2018 – in October of that year, she posted a picture of him on Instagram for the first time.

And, while she didn’t immediately identify to him as her boyfriend, the red heart in the caption hinted that he was someone very dear to her. Since then, the young adult has shared photos of herself and her supposed relationship on all of her social media pages.

She last shared his photo in September 2021.
