According to Fox 5 New York, Surf was captured by the US Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Fugitive Task Force around 1.30 p.m. He was booked into Newark, New Jersey’s Essex County Jail, where he is still being held.
According to accounts, Surf was arrested at his residence, where he was living with an unidentified woman. Surf attempted to flee through the backdoor, but sources said that authorities had already surrounded the house. He returned to the house after realizing this and barricaded himself inside until crisis mediators arrived and he gave himself up.
Tsu will face a judge on October 14 in federal court. Regarding the legal issues, Qua Bellamy, his manager, said to Lisa Avers that he is in good spirits and prepared to handle a problem with federal law enforcement. In a video post to her Twitter account, Avers stated:

Tsu Surf allegedly belongs to the Crips gang
