Officers from the Tulsa Police Department responded to a complaint of gunshots on Sunday morning just before one in the morning. Joshua Saldivar was discovered deceased close to W. Archer St. when they got to the site.
Officers found that a home party nearby was being attended by around one hundred persons. Teenagers made up the bulk of those present at the gathering.
The party was attended by a large number of youths, ages 15 to 19, according to the authorities.
A brawl broke out during the celebration, according to Tulsa Police Captain Richard Meulenberg, and it quickly escalated into individuals shooting firearms into the air at random.

Joshua Saldiver’s mother, Maria Guadalupe Hernandez, claimed, “Joshua wasn’t a bad kid; he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
“I hope no parent has to go through this. This is something that our whole family is dealing with. “My husband, my children, our family is troubled,” the distraught woman said.
Joshua’s mother went on to say that all she wanted was justice and to find the individual who caused the tragedy.
Joshua was a nice boy who smiled a lot and worked hard, according to his brother Angel.
Angel went on, “He was very courteous of other people,” adding that he doesn’t know why his loving brother was taken from them.
Angel, like his mother, desired the power to apprehend the culprit who was still at large and to bring him to justice.
Furthermore, given the large number of witnesses, investigators suspect that someone may have captured the incident on video or their phone.
In order to analyze the video and uncover any hints about the culprit, they also request that anybody who has any from that evening forward it to them.
It was unclear to the authorities if the gunshot was deliberate or unintentional.
