Case Status Report Tyler Hadley is a model. What happened to his house and where is he now?
Tyler Hadley is still at Okeechobee Correctional Institution serving his term. His residence was demolished in April of 2015.
He murdered his parents, Blake and Mary-Jo Hadley, at their home in Port St. Lucie, Florida, on July 16, 2011. He prepared for the crime by removing his parents’ cell phones and ingesting three Ecstacy pills. He then beat his mother to death with a hammer while she was working on the home computer. Hearing the screaming, his father arrived and killed him after a brief stare.
Tyler hid his parents’ remains in the master bedroom after murdering them and cleaning up the mess, which took him three hours. Following that, he began planning a party by making a Facebook post about it and withdrawing money from an ATM. The party began at 8:15 p.m. on the day of the murder and finished at 2 a.m. Around 60 people showed up for the party and had a good time playing beer pong, smoking cigars, and drinking.
During the party, he confessed his crimes to his best friend, Michael Mandell, and showed him the blood-filled master bedroom. Micheal then moved on from the bizarre circumstance and took some selfies.
As the celebration came to a conclusion, word of the crime spread, and Tyler was caught and convicted the next morning. He was 17 at the time of the occurrence, which meant that he could not be sentenced to death under Florida law. However, in 2014, he was condemned to life in jail without the possibility of release, which was reversed by an appeals judge in April 2016. Then, in 2018, his sentence was commuted to life in prison with the chance of parole.
