Following a helicopter accident at a kindergarten in an eastern Kyiv district, 18 persons have been confirmed deceased.

Three kids and Ukraine’s interior minister, Denys Monastyrsky, are among the deceased.

Yevhen Yenin, Monastyrsky’s first deputy minister, and Yurii Lubkovich, his state secretary, both perished in the incident, according to the official.

Ihor Klymenko, the head of the National Police, said that the helicopter that crashed near Brovary belonged to the Ukrainian state emergency agency.

Children and employees were promptly evacuated from the premises after the incident because there was a fire that followed.

It’s possible that the incident was caused by Kyiv’s gloomy and foggy weather at the time of the event.
