Uma Thurman and her ex-husband, Ethan Hawke, have been a fixture on our screens for decades.
The ex-couple has appeared in some of Hollywood’s most iconic blockbusters, sometimes together.
They met on the set of their sci-fi thriller Gattaca in 1996, and married two years later, in 1998.
They had their daughter, Maya Hawke, the same year, and their son, Levon Hawke, four years later, in 2002.
According to reports, both children have followed in their parents’ footsteps, with both Maya and Levon set to appear in Stranger Things season four.
Unfortunately, the power couple separated in 2003 and divorced two years later.
Thurman and Hawke have since spoken out about their relationship, divorce, and the rumors surrounding it.
Rumors began to circulate around the time of their divorce that Thurman’s husband had cheated on her with their children’s nanny, Ryan Shawhughes.
Hawke, on the other hand, denied it, claiming that their marriage had already fallen apart before Shawhughes entered the picture.

After the divorce, Hawke began publicly dating Shawhughes in 2005, despite his vehement denials.
The actor later explained in an interview with The Guardian that by the time he fell in love with their nanny, she had been out of work for quite some time.
He claimed that the main cause of the schism was their desire for stardom as actors.
After having kids, Thurman went back to work while her partner stayed behind to take care of the kids.
However, the arrangement did not work out, as Hawke stated:
“I’m living in a hotel room with my kids while you’re working six hours a day on a film set doing what you love. Do that for nine months and see how happy you are.”
The demise of their marriage devastated the Pulp Fiction actress.
She thought the whole thing was strange because they were a family one day and then she and her husband stopped talking the next.
However, the actress stated that she was solely to blame for their split.
Uma Thurman and Her Husband Are No Longer Together
Hawke secretly married Shawhughes in 2008, the same year they welcomed their first child.
They remain married and have two daughters, Clementine and Indiana.
And, in case you’re wondering, Uma Thurman is not married right now.
She had her fair share of failed relationships.
She was previously engaged to hotelier André Balazs and French financier Arpad Busson, but both relationships failed.
Thurman and Busson had a daughter in 2012, and the couple had a custody battle, but Thurman was granted primary custody.
People reported in June 2021 that the actress was dating Bloomberg Media Group CEO Justin B. Smith.
This information was subtly revealed in a New York Times article “Washington Society Steps Back Out,” which reported about a party held at Smith’s Home.
The article mentioned a “Pulp Fiction star who is dating Mr. Smith” among the media elites who attended the party.
