Recently, Brendan Fraser made headlines when his upcoming film The Whale premiered at the Venice Film Festival. The film received a six-minute standing ovation, and footage captured Fraser crying as the audience commended him and the film.
Fraser repeatedly embraced director Darren Aronofsky after receiving an ecstatic response from the audience. Once, he allegedly attempted to depart the auditorium, but the applause and applause compelled him to stay and enjoy the event.

In an interview with GQ during the promotion of his television series Trust, Brendan Fraser discussed his decision to become a lesser-known actor. He stated that stunt-related injuries prevented him from continuing to perform at his maximum capacity.
Among other procedures, he underwent a laminectomy, partial knee replacement, and vocal cord therapy. Brendan Fraser stated that he had spent seven years in and out of the infirmary.
When discussing the death of his mother in 2016, Fraser stated that the tragedy had a profound effect on him. Also, he mentioned:
“I moved residences and went through a divorce.” Some infants were born. They were born, but they are maturing. I was undergoing experiences that mold and shape you in ways for which you are unprepared until you undergo them.”

During the same interview with GQ, Fraser discussed an incident that occurred at the Beverly Hills Hotel in 2003 while he was attending a luncheon for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

Brendan Fraser also acknowledged that losing the role of Superman in Superman Returns was extremely challenging for him and that he felt he “didn’t measure up” and “failed.” As stated by the actor:
“This requires thick skin, or simply ignoring it, burying one’s head in the sand, gritting one’s teeth and putting on a brave face, or simply not requiring the public’s participation.” Ignoring. To hell with it, I’m staying home. I didn’t feel like I could be a part of it, not because I’m aloof or anything. “I didn’t feel like I fit in.”
