Despite regularly missing work on the BBC2 program owing to illness, Monty has always been honest with his audience about his health.
In 2008, a journalist had a blockage in the brain. He also struggled with bone marrow cancer when he was younger.
He admitted to The Guardian that “when he was a child, he had bone-marrow cancer.” He was unwell as a child and didn’t become aware of his strength and activity until he was 19.
Don is a gardening legend and has been presenting his program for over 20 years. But in 2008, after a transient ischemic attack, sometimes known as a mini-stroke, the world came dangerously close to losing the celebrity.
On the day of his assault, he was planning to start his frantic schedule at 3:45 am.
According to The DailyMail, Monty spent a few hours in bed attempting to numb his arm.
Additionally, he acknowledged to the Guardian that he was so exhausted in 2009 that he was dubious about his course. He recalled waking up feeling strange and lightheaded, he claimed.
Similarly, Monty said in 2015 that one of his knees had to be replaced because of pain from years of gardening.
In May 2022, it was also made public that Don had COVID-19 and had been bedridden for four days.

Together, the pair has run a successful gardening company that include planning, creating, and maintaining gardens in addition to delivering speeches and writing books.
The two are tremendously supportive of one another’s careers. Monty and his wife lived in Islington, London, when he was a student at the London School of Economics.
The couple later established their first garden after moving to Hackney. But in 1989, they relocated from the important city to The Hanburies in Herefordshire.
In addition to this, Monty loves pets and routinely shares pictures of his dogs on social media.
