The prisoner in the Oklahoma State Penitentiary is not ill or experiencing any health issues. At the very least, there have been no official reports in this respect. The prisoner’s state of health is thus presumed to be excellent. He seems to be doing okay, however, it’s unclear how the rumor of his health condition got started.
Death row inmates do not need to be in good health to be executed, but they must be mentally stable enough to understand what is happening to them and why. It is possible that any news involving Barry Van Treese’s killer, Glossip, will be covered by worldwide media due to the fame of the Barry Van Treese murder case.
Is the murderer of Barry Van Treese still alive?
Yes. Barry Van Treese, who was hired by Richard Glossip to be killed, is still alive. Additionally, it seems that he will live a long life. As previously noted, the U.S. Supreme Court delayed Glossip’s execution scheduled for May 18. After Oklahoma’s attorney general asked for an unusual plea to stop, the action was stopped.
According to the attorney general, it would have been an absurd mistake to execute Richard Glossip. Richard Glossip was handed his last three meals, which he shared with his guards: a Baconater sandwich, Wendy’s fries, and a Domino’s pizza. But each time, he refrained from being put to death.

After being convicted of capital murder in 1998 for ordering the killing of his employer, Glossip has maintained his innocence. An investigation ordered by Oklahoma’s Republican attorney general found that the prosecution’s primary witness—the accused murder accomplice of Glossip—had provided fraudulent evidence.
The attorney general also found that prosecutors failed to provide Glossip with evidence that they were supposed to. Glossip has come very near to passing away several times, most notably when state authorities unexpectedly halted the execution months after the Supreme Court’s 2015 ruling on worries about the chemicals they were preparing to use.
Richard Glossip is wed to an opponent of the death penalty
Richard Glossip was married many times while he was awaiting execution. In March 2022, he was married to Florida native Lea Rodger. Lea Rodger, the spouse of Richard Glossip, is an opponent of the death sentence.
The prisoner’s first marriage took place there, in the Oklahoma State Penitentiary, with Lelgha Joy Jurasik. The previous couple wed on September 27, 2018, and got divorced in February 2021. Before that, Glossip was seeing Melissa Ratliff, who got in touch with him in 2015. In January 2021, their bail was released. Richard is not a parent.
