Accident involving Taslima Nasreen: The Bangladeshi-Swedish novelist alleged that a private hospital in Delhi coerced her into having hip replacement surgery, making her a victim of a medical crime.
Taslima Nasreen is a Swedish-Bangladeshi author, physician, feminist, and activist.
She has also been placed on a blacklist and banished from the Bengal area (both from Bangladesh and the Indian state of West Bengal).
She gained attention on a worldwide scale by the early 1990s as a result of her feminism-infused essays and publications that attacked all “misogynistic” religions.
The author recently claimed that a private hospital in Delhi pushed her to get a hip replacement, leaving her permanently crippled. What has become of her? Everything regarding her accident and surgeries is detailed here.

Taslima Nasreen claims that she recently scraped her knee after tripping over while wearing baggy pajamas.
She had knee issues, so she took a friend’s advise and went to a hospital for care.
Following an X-ray and CT scan, the doctor she saw after being suggested by a friend informed her that she had a fracture in her femur.
The doctor then gave her two choices: a complete hip replacement, in which her hip bones would be removed and replaced with plastic and metal, or an internal fixation, in which the fracture would be mended with screws.
The author insisted on getting the internal-fixing procedure, but she said the physicians compelled her to have the second procedure instead.
The Swedish-Bangladeshi novelist accused the doctors of pressuring her into making a decision without giving her adequate time to think about seeking a second opinion.
The author, who is also a doctor, had the grueling operation only to discover that there were no fractures in her femur or elsewhere after the X-Ray.
The author, a doctor, accepts responsibility for her own irresponsibility, which led to her being a victim of medical fraud. She also disclosed that she has a disability that will last the rest of her life.
Her doctor allegedly placed a number of limitations on her, including the inability to move heavy things, slouch, or sit cross-legged.
Tasmlima bemoaned, “Why was I handed a life of disability? Is this the reason I spent thousands of dollars on my care at a private hospital?
Taslima Nasreen said that she received the incorrect medications. In 2008
Taslima Nasreen has now publicly charged Indian medical practitioners for the first time of medical malpractice and criminality.
She said that she was prescribed the incorrect stress and hypertension drugs in 2008. Her alleged medication side effects were later treated at AIIMS Delhi.
Taslima has been living in exile for a number of decades as a result of the intense backlash her book Lajja (1993) received in Bangladesh. Nasreen, who was born in Sweden, has lived in the United States, Europe, and India.
The parents of Nasreen are Dr. Rajab Ali and Edul Ara. Her father was a doctor who also taught medical law at Mymensingh Medical College.
Mymensingh Medical College, which is associated with the University of Dhaka, graduated Taslima in 1984.
