According to his TikTok profile, Silverman is a former University of Miami baseball player and the owner of the Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based sports memorabilia company Icon Auction & Events.
The TikTok video without captions has over 459k views and over 15k likes. Moreover, it has prompted funny responses from online users.
OJ Simpson Viral TikTok Video
The phrase “Let’s wake up OJ at 1 am” is written across the video. A group of women between the ages of 20 and 30 can be seen approaching Simpson’s sleeping area in the clip. To wake him, they yell and create a lot of noise.
The footage was recorded by a man, whose voice could be heard saying,
“Let’s go, it’s time for a house party!” It’s time to get up, let’s get up, let’s get up.”
When Simpson awakened shirtless and perched on the side of his bed, the other women erupted in laughter and yelling.
A woman was witnessed listening to music on her phone, as a blonde woman cried, “Wakey! Wakey!” At the conclusion of the film, as the camera shifted to show others using their phones, the entourage departed the room.
Internet users responded humorously to the popular video, with many citing the former NFL player’s murder allegations. Some even expressed disapproval, stating they had numerous questions regarding the video. Few people publicly referred to it as “unsettling.”
One commenter even equated OJ Simpson to serial murderer Ted Bundy. Netizens also noticed a man of middle age who showed in a few photos.
Some individuals identified him as the volleyball player Tim Hovland, although this was a Twitter-spread claim that could not be confirmed.
In December 2021, the former athlete was given an early release from prison.
Simpson was given a five-year parole term that was set to expire on February 9, 2022. In October 2008, he was convicted of conspiring with five others to commit an armed robbery.
The gang was accused of harassing two sellers of sports memorabilia at the Palace Station Hotel and Casino in Los Angeles. The 74-year-old man admitted to committing the act, explaining that he stole what was previously his but had been removed after his 1995 acquittal.
He was sentenced to 33 years at the Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada, with the possibility of release after nine years. Simpson was granted parole in 2017 and will live in a gated community in Nevada until December 14, 2021.
