However, he paid $1.02 billion for 7% of Coca-Cola in 1988, which turned out to be one of his best investments. Later, in 1990, he sold Berkshire Hathaway class A shares for $7,1k each share, turning into a millionaire. He gave five nonprofits 85% of his Berkshire holdings in 2006.
