Arleen Sorkin is an American actress, comedian, dramatist, and television personality.
Her most well-known roles are those of Calliope Jones on the NBC daytime serial Days of Our Lives and Harley Quinn on Batman: The Animated Series, for which she provided the voice and real-life inspiration. She co-created this one with her pal Paul Dini.
As a writer, producer, and showrunner, Sorkin rose to fame for his work on the television series Sports Night, The West Wing, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, and The Newsroom.
His work on Broadway is equally well-known; it includes the revivals of A Few Good Men, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Farnsworth Invention, and Lerner and Loewe’s Camelot.
Charlie Wilson’s War, Moneyball, Steve Jobs, A Few Good Men, The American President, and many more biopics are among the many that he wrote scripts for.
He was honored with the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for his work on the 2010 movie The Social Network.
