When Jordan Cashmyer made an appearance on Season 5 of 16 and Pregnant in 2014, the general public first became aware of her.
Her turbulent relationship with her then-boyfriend, Derek Taylor, was discussed in the episode.
After more than a month, Jordan Cashmyer’s cause of death was eventually made public.
According to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of the Maryland Department of Health, Jordan died from cocaine and fentanyl poisoning.

Genevieve “Evie” Shae Taylor, Jordan’s first child, was born on March 7, 2014. Immediately after the airing of their 16 and Pregnant MTV show, she and Derek, the child’s Father, separated.
After her parents rejected her, the episode, according to People, showed Jordan’s efforts to find a place to live and a job.
She was given a postpartum depression diagnosis after the event, and tragically, in November 2014, she made an attempt on her life.

Jordan Cashmyer died
Star of “16 and Pregnant” Jordan Cashmyer passed away on Wednesday from a heroin overdose, it was revealed.
At the time of her death on January 15 at the age of 26, Cashmyer had cocaine, despropionyl fentanyl, and fentanyl in her system, according to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of the Maryland Department of Health.
The agency reports that the cause of death is “undetermined,” which indicates that it is not obvious whether the overdose was accidental or intentional.
Jordan Cashmyer’s death was first announced on her father Dennis M. Cashmyer Jr.’s Facebook page along with a black-and-white picture of the late reality star by Cashmyer’s stepmother, Jessica Cashmyer.
In 2014, Jordan co-starred in the MTV reality series alongside her ex-boyfriend Derek Taylor, their child Genevieve “Evie” Shae Taylor, and other family members.
Jordan battled addiction and was charged with drug possession in 2017, only two years after giving Taylor’s mother interim custody.
