Emma Claiir, a co-host of the podcast Simply Chaotic and an Australian influencer, has admitted to killing animals as a child. Unsurprisingly, the content creator’s followers were outraged and mercilessly harassed her on social media.
As a result, many of the companies she worked for dismissed her as an ambassador. She has since apologized for her actions. Emma Claiir admitted to murdering her cat in a podcast broadcast earlier this week. She stated, ”
“I killed my pet… My sister hadn’t spoken to me in months, and my mother was furious with me, so I killed it. If you’re really interested in me, I also murdered my best friend’s cat.”
Surprisingly, the influencer received a lot of flak on social media. In response, she told her fans that they “needed to chill” because the incident happened “21 years ago.” Claire went on to say that she has “been the best mother to multiple cats” since the incident, including her kitty Fred. The influencer also stated in the Instagram story:
“There’s some light comedy in this get to know us episode, and if you can’t handle it, simply chaotic isn’t for you… Simply chaotic is a place where all the hot messes can be themselves without fear of being judged.”
She ended her remark with, “sorry not sorry for having a giggle about it.”
Emma Claiir, who is she?
Emma Claiir is a 28-year-old Sydney-based influencer. She primarily shares lifestyle and motherhood content on her social media platforms. She has 107K Instagram followers, whom she regularly updates on what is going on in her life. The Simply Chaotic podcast was co-created by her and Kristy Jean.
Several large corporations fired her as an ambassador after she received widespread criticism on social media for posting her heinous cat story. MCoBeauty was one of several cosmetic brands to announce on Instagram that they would “no longer be working with Emma in the future.” They also stated that they “do not condone animal cruelty of any kind.”
Princess Polly, a fashion brand, also announced on Instagram that it would no longer work with the content producer. Their company, according to their official statement, “has a zero-tolerance stance on any form of animal abuse.” Lust Minerals was one of several companies that announced the end of their relationship with the influencer.
Evidently, many netizens were against the mom-fluencer, causing her online popularity to plummet. Claiir took to Instagram to apologize after being cancelled several times by the online celebrity. She stated that she “thought about” her “actions” and wanted to express to her fans her “empathy for the situation,” which she is not proud of. She went on to say:
“I am a person who loves all living things and has been the most amazing cat mum to multiple cats and dogs.” I am now a loving mother to a young son, and I have clearly matured since that young 9-year-old. I apologize once more to everyone who has been impacted.”
