What Caused KIRO Newsradio Host Dori Monson’s Death?
Monson had been battling several health problems for the previous two years, and on December 31, 2022, he passed away during a cardiac event.
He was 61 years old when he passed away because he was born on October 2, 1961. Monson’s parents reared him in Ballard, a neighborhood in Seattle.
Monson worked for KING-TV and KING Radio before working at KIRO while attending the University of Washington.
People began sending condolences to his family and friends once his death was publicly announced.
His passing was confirmed by KIRO Newsradio 97.3Fm, who also said in a statement, “The KIRO Newsradio family and Bonneville International Corporation, along with the immediate family of Dori Monson, are deeply saddened to announce Dori’s sudden passing Saturday night at a Seattle hospital.”
