American news journalist and anchor Micah Materre is employed by WGN-TV, a television network located in Chicago, Illinois, in the United States. She began her career with WGN in 1998 and has covered a variety of regional and national news issues.
In the Chicago region, she is the honorary chairwoman, mistress of ceremonies, and commentator for many civic and communal organizations.

Before moving to the Motor City, the American journalist started her career in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, as a general assignment reporter and weekend anchor.
