Where Will Steve Hayes Go?
Steve Hayes, a Wisconsin-based journalist, has appeared on nearly every major broadcasting network, including CNN, BBC, MSNBC, and C-SPAN. His most noteworthy appearance, though, was as a Fox News contributor.
He is presently the editor-in-chief of The Weekly Standard and a regular on the Special Report with Bret Baier panel. His time at Fox News, however, has come to an end.
Bret Baier disclosed Hayes’ departure from Fox News in the most recent episode of Special Report. He is leaving TV appearances and Washington, D.C. to relocate to Europe.
Hayes and his wife live in Annapolis, Maryland, with their four children. However, the family will spend a year in Spain enjoying much-needed quality time together.
The Columbia graduate is well known for being named on the Department of Homeland Security’s Terror Watch List in 2014. He was singled out and subjected to additional airport security screening until he realized he was on the list!
Hayes’ Fox News colleagues, especially the late Charles Krauthammer, never let him forget the “No Fly List” joke. The comedy was renewed by Fox News’ poignant farewell montage to Hayes!
On behalf of Fox News and its viewers, Baier wished Hayes a safe journey. They both emphasized that Hayes’ absence would be just temporary.
Steve Hayes will continue to work at The Weekly Standard, but we won’t see him on TV as much. He might return to Fox News in a year.
