Tiffany Cross of MSNBC had “debilitating” agony for years before learning that fibroids were to blame; she is now sharing her story to save other women from going through what she did.
The 43-year-old Cross Connection host spent a substantial portion of her program on Sunday discussing how she handled having fibroids diagnosed and treated. Fibroids are a common and painful condition in which non-cancerous growths form on the uterus.
Cross said, “I endured crippling, shooting pain for years.” “Despite my greatest attempts to exercise, I always had a big stomach and agonizing periods.
I once spent hours in an emergency room after persuading physicians that I had a problem, and only then did I realize that what I was going through was common. Like more than 25 million other women, I too had fibroid tumors.
Cross had hoped that she would be able to tolerate her “five grapefruit-sized” tumors and that “maybe the agony would go away, but it never did,” but this was not the case.
Instead, she began exhibiting new symptoms, such as hair loss, which ultimately motivated her to seek medical attention for the sickness.
The Journalist learned that she had two choices: she could either have a complete hysterectomy or the fibroids could be temporarily removed so she could still have children before having another treatment.
Cross said that the process was even more challenging. She still required full-time work since she did not have health insurance. She eventually made the decision to enroll in Obamacare and did so as soon as it went into effect.
After this interaction, Cross started researching fibroids and found that Black women experience them disproportionately more often than other women.

The Cross Connection has been terminated by MSNBC, and the network has broken ties with anchor Tiffany Cross. Although there have recently been disagreements regarding program sections, weekend broadcaster Cross has worked with the network for two years.
The Cross Connection, which aired on Saturdays from 10 am to 12 pm E.T., was terminated by MSNBC without taking into account the television show’s ratings performance, which is the most common cause for doing so.
