Bob Kerslake, FAcSS, sometimes known as Robert Walter Kerslake, was a well-known official in the UK. Kerslake held the position of “Head of the Home Civil Service” from December 31, 2011, to September 14, 2014, preceding Cabinet Secretary Sir Gus O’Donnell.
Bob also held his position as permanent secretary for the Department of Communities and Local Government.
With effect from June 2015, Kerslake was named chair of the King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in December 2014.
In July 2018, he also took over as chair of the UK2070 Commission, which examines urban and regional disparities in the UK.
On March 17, 2015, Bob was sworn in as a crossbench life lord in the House of Lords. Additionally, Kerslake was chosen to oversee the unbiased investigation into the Manchester Arena bombing in July 2017.
