Thomas “Uncle Tommy” Miles, born on May 18, 1967, graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in theatre. Along with his studies, he joined the Royal Shakespeare Company. The theater company cast Thomas in multiple roles.

At the start of his acting career, he landed a starring role in David M. Matthews’ crime thriller film N-Secure (2010). Dennis Cooper’s subsequent appearance was in The Heart Specialist (2011), a romantic comedy directed, written, and co-produced by him.

He also appeared in the 2012 comedy film Think Like a Man, which was based on Steve Harvey’s book Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man (2009). The film was a huge hit, grossing $96.1 million.

The Ready to Love host rose to prominence in stand-up comedy after dabbling in acting. He opened for Luther Vandross at the Essence Music Festival. He also recorded an hour-long special at Detroit’s renowned Motor City Casino, which is well-known among stand-up comedians.

Miles is also known for hosting radio shows. He appeared on The Steve Harvey Morning Show, a radio program that debuted in 2000 and is still broadcast today, alongside Steve Harvey, Shirley Strawberry, and Carla Ferrell. Rushion McDonald and Steve Harvey created a popular radio show. Because of the radio show’s popularity, it was adapted for television as Steve Harvey Projects on Centric.

Tommy was chosen to host the show and quickly became a fan favorite thanks to his witty comments and amusing prank calls.

Furthermore, his prank calls were so popular that he released seven studio albums with them, including Nephew Tommy’s Prank Phone Calls: Volumes 1–6, Nephew Tommy’s Celebrity Prank Phone Calls, and Nephew Tommy’s Lost Prank Phone Calls: Parts 1 and 2.

He gained a thorough understanding of the military sector during a visit to military facilities in the Middle East with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs.
