In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Tonya Harding was an ice skating sensation in the United States. After the Oregon native became the second woman in history and the first American to successfully land a triple Axel in competition, her admiration was heard from coast to coast.
When Tonya’s ex-husband, Jeff Gillooly, decided to target Tonya’s competitor, Nancy Kerrigan, everything went wrong for her. Nancy participated in and won the silver medal at the 1994 Winter Olympics, demonstrating that the attack had no lasting effects. But Tonya suffered irreparable harm as a result. She accepted a plea deal for her claim a part in the assault, which resulted in a lifetime ban from the United States Figure Skating Association.

Tonya, her husband, and their son lead a quiet existence in Vancouver.
She said on The Morning Show that she enjoys chopping firewood and working in the yard as a mother.
“I occasionally prepare dinner… yet these days, it’s quite difficult to afford quality items as opposed to those that are packaged.

Tonya Harding and her ex-husband Jeff Gillooly gave Steven Rogers dramatically different recollections of what transpired thirty years ago. As he heard their tales, he decided to share them. According to Rogers,
“I’ll just put everyone’s point of view out there and let the audience pick what they believe.”
The abuse Tonya endured at the hands of her mother and husband was made public by the movie. She did, however, tell The New York Times that the abuse was worse than what I, Tonya showed. She uttered:
“People don’t realize that the movie depictions of what the guys see are false. That was the tiniest of all the minuscule fragments. My face was bruised. Not only broken onto a mirror but put through it. across it. I was wounded. That was accurate.
There are a few discrepancies in the movie, according to Tonya, but the majority of it is mostly accurate. According to her comments to The New York Times, she adored the movie since it made clear how her loved ones had deliberately set her up to fail. She overcame difficulties through her talent, skill, and sheer willpower.
She came from a similar background to her iconic competitor Nancy Kerrigan, but the difference was that Nancy Kerrigan was liked. Tonya insists that she had nothing to do with the attack, even though she acknowledged having suspicions.
She was driven by the hostility she experienced to leave Oregon and move first to Washington, then to Vancouver. She claims that she has had rats thrown into her mailboxes, [expletive] left on her door, left in her mailbox, and scattered across her trucks.
“Anything you can think of has been done to me.”
Tonya admitted to The Morning Show that the virus had prevented her from skating for about two years. The United States Figure Skating Association barred her from participating as a player and a coach; in 2018, she told The New York Times that she didn’t see the point of skating if she couldn’t do it for competition. However, Tonya is content with her life and the people in it, and that is all that counts to her.
Tonya has been sending a lot of customized videos on Cameo. On the website Cameo, famous people can send unique films to their followers. Tonya appears to be making money off of it because she frequently urges her Instagram fans to submit their requests.
Late in December 2021, Tonya wrote on social media that she had shared 244 special moments with her followers, “with some fairly wonderful reactions.” In 2022, she stated that she planned to continue filming videos.
Tonya also generates income from the sale of goods from her fan shop.
