When Jaimie Alexander made her MCU debut in 2013’s Thor: The Dark World, she did it in a post-credit scene. Since then, the actress and Lady Sif, her character, have only made a brief cameo appearance in Loki.
Due to her position in the Thor comics, Lady Sif has amassed a devoted fan base, and her initial appearance in 2013 tremendously stoked interest in her MCU role. She has, however, only made appearances in these two cameos so far.
Lady Sif makes another cameo in the film Thor: Love and Thunder. Is her character’s on-screen duration and size of the role, though, sufficient to warrant an appearance at all?

You shouldn’t continue reading if you haven’t seen the movie yet. But if you have, you are aware that Thor: Love and Thunder are widely criticized for being too lighthearted and not taking themselves seriously enough.
Additionally, it has come under fire for failing to adequately develop a few characters, the two most notable of whom being Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher and Alexander’s Lady Sif.
Even if Taika Waititi’s approach to this film deserves its article, the way he and the film handle Lady Sif comes across as nothing more than fan service.
People’s theories about Lady Sif before the movie’s release varied. Many others believed she might have been abducted or perhaps sent on a covert mission.
Additionally, many people believed she could be presented as Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie’s new love interest after she failed to capture Thor’s heart in the previous films.
However, everyone who anticipated any of these outcomes was profoundly let down.
Lady Sif first appears in the film in a video message of need, pleading with Thor to aid her. She complies and is discovered on the battlefield by Waititi’s Korg and Chris Hemsworth’s Thor.
As Thor explains to her that she would only travel to Valhalla if she died during a battle, she tells how she was put there to die so she could go to Valhalla—a false belief. Therefore, Lady Sif ends up in New Asgard where she is treated while wearing her comic-accurate attire.
She stays there the entire while the movie is running. Everything happens within a minute or two. If we only look at the distribution of screen time, Lady Sif and Alexander aren’t even close to being major characters in the plot.
Could Jaimie Alexander Play a Major Role in Future “Thor” Films?
A one-handed warrior is shown instructing another character toward the end of the film. The fans’ expectations for Lady Sif’s (and Alexander’s) continued involvement in the franchise are maintained in part by this scenario.
Even if she hardly makes an appearance in Thor: Love and Thunder, the series might still make up to Alexander and Lady Sif by giving them a larger or more significant role in the forthcoming Thor films.
A few others also suspect that the figure the one-armed warrior is teaching might play a significant role in future film (s). Or perhaps she will make more significant appearances in Loki’s upcoming season than cameos.
