During the concert, the Why Not Me singer did a duet with newcomer Jelly Roll. They sang the latter’s popular song, Need a Favor, together.

The country music artist was brought on stage to perform with Jelly Roll on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the 57th Annual CMA Awards. Viewers couldn’t help but notice something wasn’t quite right despite her exceptional abilities.

The 59-year-old seemed unstable as she crossed the stage and eventually came up to 38-year-old Jellyroll. She clutched his shoulder as if she needed assistance to stay upright.

Fans rushed to X (formerly Twitter) after their duet on Jelly Roll’s “Need a Favor” to voice their concerns about Judd when they saw that he was having trouble standing throughout the performance.

Thankfully, Judd completed the whole show flawlessly, however, fans are still waiting for an explanation of her on-stage antics!

Wynonna Judd’s Formative Years

Wynonna was born in Ashland, Kentucky, on May 30, 1964, to Christina Claire Ciminella. Naomi Judd married Michael Ciminella not long after being rejected by Charles Jordan, her biological father and her lover. In 2000, Jordan passed away.

The daughter of Michael Ciminella and Naomi Judd is named Ashley. The couple moved to Los Angeles in 1968, taking their two kids with them, but they had split up by 1972.

In 1976, Naomi Judd brought the daughters back to her native Kentucky. Wynnona was motivated to pick up the guitar by her mother’s passion for country music.

Naomi and Wynnona moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1979 so that Naomi could pursue her musical career.

There, Christina’s mother officially changed Christina’s name from Diana to Naomi. Christina then adopted the stage name “Wynonna” as a result of the song “Route 66,” which made reference to the town of Winona, Arizona.
