American parents gave birth to Emily Ratajkowski on June 7, 1991, in Westminster, London. In Encinitas, California, she was raised.
Jewish people of German, Irish, English, and Polish ancestry make up Ratajkowski. Her mother is Jewish, but her father, John, was brought up as a Roman Catholic. Emily revealed to Allure that she is a Polish-Israeli, despite Kathleen, her mother, having no Israeli ancestry.

Ratajkowski said:
“I was aware that before my mother became pregnant with me and they decided to be married, my parents had a long history of infidelity. I was aware that their connection depended on my presence even before I was born.

“A former classmate of mine mentioned your most recent magazine cover in a Facebook post. No surprise Kathleen’s daughter is gorgeous, he said. But you, Kathy, are more beautiful than she is. Nobody comes close to you.
