The host of Good Morning America, Lara Spencer, is getting better after having surgery at the beginning of 2023. The broadcaster has been telling her fans on social media about her health and how it’s been since she went back to work at the ABC studio. Lara Christine Von Seelen is an American who works as a TV host. She is best known for being a co-host on Good Morning America on ABC.

She has also done work for Nightline and ABC News. From 2004 to 2011, she was the host of The Insider, a syndicated celebrity news show, and a regular guest on The Early Show on CBS.

Sam Champion is working hard to make his start on Dancing With the Stars, and Lara Spencer, who he works with on Good Morning America, has his back. When the much-loved weatherman took to Instagram to tell his fans about his hard training plan in L.A., nobody was more supportive than Lara.

The mother of two wrote on Sam’s feed after he said he was up at 2:45 a.m. and getting ready for more practices. The TV host didn’t say when she was going to see Sam, but she seemed eager to get to Los Angeles.

Lara has been very busy this summer, working hard and taking trips to Europe. This will be Lara’s last year at home before her youngest child, Katharine, moves out.

Lara Spencer’s surgery news

In the days that followed, Lara shared pictures of herself at physical therapy, stretching her legs and abs and working out with an exercise ball.

Lara has used her bike to get from one place at work to another. Between takes on GMA, she has been propping up her foot. During a commercial break on the show, the news reporter almost fell out of her chair, but she reassured the audience that she was okay.

Even though Lara has had some problems since her surgery, she has kept a positive mood during GMA broadcasts. She even showed fans what happens between takes on the show in pictures she shared on Instagram.

The New Yorker showed in a funny Instagram Story on January 17 that her scooter had been given a fun new look with glitter and feathers. While she was healing from surgery, the host of Flea Market Flip had the best group of people by her side.

On January 14, she showed off a nice thing her husband, Rick McVey, did after getting her breakfast. An “adorable” bike was drawn on the bag of her food. Lara’s ex-husband, David Haffenreffer, gave her two kids, Duff and Katharine.

Lara Spencer’s early life

Spencer’s parents, Richard Ernest, and Carolyn von Seelen, raised her in Garden City, New York, on Long Island. She got out of Garden City High School in 1987.

She was one of the best divers in the country, and she went to Penn State University on a sports scholarship to dive on the springboard and the platform. In 1991, her final year, she was named an All-American Athlete and got a degree in broadcast journalism.

Spencer joined the N.B.C. page program when she got out of college. There, she worked for free with other writers to gain experience. She went on to work for the CBS affiliate WDEF-TV in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she “was a one-man band” as a reporter, director, editor, photographer, and news van driver.
