Where Is Blayne Terrebonne, Who Was Arrested And Charged With Murder In A 2022 Overdose?

Blayne Terrebonne

On October 27, 2022, deputies went to a house in Galliano in response to a call for help. A 16-year-old guy was allegedly displaying overdose signs, according to the caller.

The youngster received two doses of Narcan until he became conscious, at which time police brought him to the hospital for further treatment.

Less than three hours later, authorities received a second call informing them that a dead 15-year-old girl had been found nearby. The death was allegedly caused by a narcotic overdose, according to speculations.

Investigators quickly related the two instances; it didn’t take them long. They immediately began seeking for the guilty party.

Detectives apprehended Terrebonne on the day the little child sadly died. Later, as part of the inquiry, they seized Anthony Francis, 21, and Sergio Perez, 18, both of Larose.

The identical claims were made against each defendant, accusing them all of narcotics sales. Terrebonne, Francis, and the others were released on bail after being detained at the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex until November 2022. But Perez wasn’t.

The night before she died, the 15-year-old girl bought what she believed to be a Percocet pill from Terrebonne, according to the police.

The investigators found that the tablet’s only component was fentanyl. She overdosed on heroin and passed away as a consequence, according to the autopsy performed by the Lafourche Parish Coroner’s Office.

She had a significant level of fentanyl in her blood at the time of her death, according to a toxicology study.

These findings allowed police to get a warrant for Terrebonne’s second murder arrest. Terrebonne was located by authorities on January 25, 2023, and was brought into jail same day.

Following the issuance of a warrant for his arrest on suspicion of second-degree murder by the police, he was transported to the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex. $500k seems to be the bail amount.

Rumor has it that Blayne would get a life sentence if proven guilty

But it’s merely a hunch. The investigation is still ongoing. The court hearing’s date has not yet been scheduled.

More details about the suspect and victim have been kept a secret for security reasons. Even in the event that the accused is found guilty and sentenced to life in prison, the 15-year-old girl won’t be held liable.

Bringing her to justice is the final thing we can do for her. I’m hoping it’s served immediately.

Explain fentanyl. Why Is It So Dangerous?

According to The Daily Comet, fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is 100 times more potent than morphine and 50 times more potent than heroin.

Drug manufacturers banned fentanyl because of its extreme strength and laced other painkillers with it. Fentanyl was first used as a cancer and surgical anesthetic.

As a result, it changed into a more dangerous, addictive, and cost-effective medication. Fentanyl overdose fatalities have sharply surged lately. Every day, 150 Americans die from drug overdoses including fentanyl and synthetic substances.

An overdose of fentanyl may result in slowed respiration, low blood pressure, nausea, dizziness, seizures, and ultimately death.
