Before leaving, Chris Latcham, a sports broadcaster for more than ten years on BBC Radio 5Live, said a heartfelt goodbye on Twitter.
“All right, that’s me. I appreciate being on @bbc5live. I’ve worked on every episode of the program for more than ten years, and I’ve enjoyed every second of it. Working at Media City has been fantastic, and the cast is genuinely terrific. There are no threats to the station.
His co-star from BBC Breakfast, Naga Munchetty, wished him success on Twitter on his last day there.
Chris praised the station and his coworkers in his post and expressed his gratitude for every second of his employment, which has transported him all around the globe to cover some of the greatest news and sports topics.
Nevertheless, he admitted that after five years of having breakfast with two kids, he was unable to answer the 4 am alarm.
