Mutt Lange “Mutt” Lange asked to work with up-and-coming country sensation Shania Twain, he had already produced music for AC/DC, Billy Ocean, and Bryan Adams. “I was going through a divorce at the time, and I was trying to figure out what was creating this loss of control with my voice and this change in my voice. I lose my hubby to another lady. I’ve reached a new low right now.
Mutt and Marie-Anne remained together after the divorce. They supposedly live together in Switzerland and are married. Unlike Marie-Anne, Mutt is a reclusive character who hasn’t been granted an interview in decades.
As a result, not much is known about the couple’s relationship among the general public. They share a Swiss municipality with Twain and her husband, but their families seldom ever interact. As she described to The Guardian:
“I don’t want to run into Marie-Anne at all costs,” he said. Ever. I was simply not going to be forced out. I’m not leaving because this is where my child was born and where I live.
Twain is better with Frederic than with Mutt and Marie-Anne.

“It was a trying moment for both of us emotionally. He was undoubtedly stronger than I was, in my opinion. He was a great help, and we both provided support to one another. In the end, we discovered something truly lovely and unanticipated.
Together, Shania and Frederic overcame treachery and discovered love at the end of a terrifying tunnel. The singer feels better with Frederic than with Mutt and Marie-Anne. Even without each other, we are happier as people, Shania told The Guardian. “We are much more at ease with ourselves.”
Shania believes she was happier in the end, which is not surprising given how she feels about her ex-best friend. Twain remarked, “I do extremely bad things to her [Marie-Anne] in my fantasies. She always has her hair cut or removed by me.
She gave Frederic a version of herself that she had kept from Lange, Twain continued. Shania clarified:
“On every level, it’s passionate love. In the past, I was quite predictable in my relationships. Freddy ends up paying the price because I thought, “This is me if I ever get married again.” I don’t believe Mutt has ever met me. That is the distinction.
