Abby Eden, a staple at FOX4 for more than ten years, is departing. On January 11, the newscaster made a statement announcing her departure from the channel.

Her ideas, which she will announce on Wednesday morning’s newscasts, have not yet been further developed.

“We have so many incredible viewers,” adds Abby. “Truly, you are the reason I am here and the reason I have worked at FOX4 for 12 years.” She continued by saying that it had been her longtime desire.

She thanked everyone for making it possible, especially her customers and staff.

On January 19, Abby’s last performances on Signal Hill will conclude a run that began in Kansas City in November 2010.

Abby has experience in almost every aspect of reporting, including writing, editing, and filming original stories as well as covering primetime newscasts and hosting morning programs.

She has won two Emmys and a regional Edward R. Murrow Award for her reporting on hundreds of stories.

She has also volunteered for a great deal of community activities, for which she was named “Role Model of the Year” in 2016.

Tyler Curry, an engineer, and FOX4 morning anchor Abby Eden were married in November 2016. Ellis Benedict, Dorothy Ann, and Atticus Christopher are the couple’s three children.

Abby changed to the morning program after getting married so she could spend more time with her spouse.

Abby enjoys spending time with her family, their Australian shepherd, Milo, and Hemingway cat, Dallas, when she is not working.

Marathoner Abby also enjoys jogging, working out at nearby gyms, and trying out new foods.

She often travels back to Omaha, Nebraska, to see her family, which includes her seven nieces and nephews, while she is not in Kansas City.

Abby Eden, an Omaha native, has always been obsessed with the news. She constantly watches the local and national news while observing the reporters and anchors.

When she was a student at the University of Missouri in Columbia, she pursued her dream of becoming a reporter with the help of her parents, Jon and Paula Eden.

She participated in several student groups, including the Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society and the Homecoming Steering Committee. Additionally, she was a Summer Welcome Leader.

Abby gained experience working at KOMU while attending college, studying everything from editing and photography to producing and anchoring. She also worked as an intern at a charity in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
