Franklin Roberto Lashley, born July 16, 1976, is an American MMA fighter and professional wrestler. He is currently under contract with WWE. He has won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship twice, ECW twice, and TNA World Heavyweight Championship four times.
Lashley is also well-known for his accomplishments in mixed martial arts (MMA) with Strikeforce and Bellator MMA.
Later, he pursued an MMA career and fought professionally for the first fight in December 2008. After establishing a career record of 10-2, he joined Bellator MMA in 2014, where he won all five fights from that year until 2016.
Lashley first appeared in TNA’s professional wrestling promotion, which eventually changed its name to Impact, in 2009. He climbed to become the first African-American World Heavyweight Champion and four-time TNA/Impact World Heavyweight Champion.
He was also a past X Division champion and the last King of the Mountain champion. He was offered a spot on the Raw brand after rejoining WWE in 2018, where he won the United States Championship twice and the Intercontinental Championship once.
