Jill Scott of the football team has won the ITV reality competition I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! While Matt Hancock, a former health secretary, finished third, actor Owen Warner came in second.
She “couldn’t believe” she had been named Queen of the Jungle, according to Scott.
Hancock’s participation in the program has generated controversy and resulted in the suspension of the Tory whip.
When hosts Ant and Dec questioned Hancock about why he participated, he responded, “I wanted to portray what I’m like as a person.
For obvious reasons, many people approach me with preconceived notions, but I just wanted to be myself, he continued.
But I also think that as a collective, politicians don’t come across as human enough. And this is most likely the extreme approach to expressing who you are.
“I carry expectations with me; people think they know me, but they don’t; they know Matt Hancock from the media and television,” he continued.
I simply stated up front that I would act completely authentically as if their cameras weren’t rolling, and that’s exactly what I did. And that’s how I am in private.
According to overnight viewing data from rating agency Barb, 10.1 million viewers on average watched Sunday’s final.
According to ITV data, Scott received 47% of public votes, Warner 31%, and Hancock 22%. Following Hancock’s removal, Scott triumphed with 58% to Warner’s 42%.
Hancock’s victory in making it to the final, meanwhile, did not impress all of his political colleagues. Following her appearance on the program, Hancock’s political career was “very well done,” according to Business Secretary Grant Shapps.
“I do think,” he stated on Times Radio, “that his proper position should have been in Parliament these past few weeks, serving his constituents.

During his time in the jungle, Hancock participated in 10 Bushtucker challenges, five of which were decided by public vote.
Since last week, the public has been electing to keep their preferred campmates in the wilderness as opposed to kicking out their least preferred ones.
Hancock acknowledged during his exit interview that he had been anxious about taking part in the series and that he had anticipated the challenging questions that his fellow campers would pose.
He recalled that some of the interrogations were “very fun and a relief since I could express exactly what I thought, and some were quite emotional regarding some areas of my background that everybody knows about.”

“I know coming in here was contentious, but we all have many sides to our personality,” he said in his conclusion.
Following his interview, Hancock was spotted getting back together with Gina Coladangelo, with whom he had been captured on CCTV kissing in 2021, circumstances that finally caused him to resign as health secretary.

Hancock earlier stated that he would donate some of his compensation for appearing in the series, which is reportedly worth £400,000, to a hospice in his district and organizations that support dyslexia sufferers.
Scott laughed when asked how she felt about winning the title of Queen of the Jungle, “I just can’t believe it, I think I’m going to owe my grandma a lot of money for 12 million votes.”
She called the other campers “very incredible.” She went on to say, “We were one huge team. “I don’t think there should be one winner; we couldn’t have survived without all of us, and I think we have all won I’m A Celebrity,” said the contestant.
Scott’s sports-related buddies congratulated her right away online.
