Adama Sanogo was born February 12, 2002, in Bamako, Mali parents Awa Traore and Cheickne Sanogo. Before playing basketball in 2014, Adama Sanogo played soccer.
Before attending Patrick School, he attended Our Savior, New American School in Centereach, NY. He is Malian, and his family lives there. He attended Connecticut University after graduating from The Patrick School.
